Transeo

Transeo is the European association uniting experts in SME business transfers. Founded over a decade ago, its primary mission is fostering peer-to-peer exchange of best practices among experts. Transeo emphasizes cross-border transactions, encouraging strategic acquisitions at both European and international levels.

Transeo offers a range of activities, including the Transeo Summits and the Transeo Academy. It provides e-books and various content to enhance expertise in business transfers. It also plays a lobbying role, closely working with European institutions to keep SME transfers high on the political agenda at EU and member state levels.

Additionally, Transeo supports academic research on business transfers. It hosts an academic committee where researchers exchange their work, promoting the topic to institutions and private sector experts alike.

Based in Belgium, Transeo’s General Secretariat is managed by Wallonie Entreprendre in Wallonia, and its Board President is Karl Adams, representing Wallonie Entreprendre. For over 15 years, Transeo has aimed to stimulate best practice exchanges and business transfers across Europe, safeguarding economic continuity and fostering the growth of European enterprises.

House of Entrepreneurship - Luxembourg

Created by the Chamber of Commerce with the support of the Ministry of the Economy, the House of Entrepreneurship is Luxembourg’s one-stop shop dedicated to entrepreneurs. It supports project holders and business leaders at every stage of their journey: from idea to creation, and from development to business transfer. Its mission is to promote entrepreneurship, bring together the national ecosystem, and support entrepreneurs throughout their journey, while advocating for a simplified administrative framework and a pro-business environment. It informs entrepreneurs through tailored advice at every stage of their journey from conception to growth and business transfer, raises awareness of key entrepreneurial steps to support better anticipation of each phase, provides comprehensive support via free workshops and personalised guidance on essential topics and skills for business success, and connects entrepreneurs within a dynamic network through networking events that foster valuable exchanges with experts and peers.

Chamber of Commerce - Luxembourg

As a driving force for change, a unifying body and a facilitator, the Chamber of Commerce has been the ‘House of Luxembourg’s Economy’ since 1841. It actively defends the general economic interests of its members, provides high-quality services to businesses, and promotes a competitive and attractive economy at national, European, and international levels. It now has over 100,000 members, accounting for 75% of total salaried employment and 80% of Luxembourg’s GDP, making it the largest professional chamber representing employers in the country. It brings together all Luxembourgish businesses operating in the sectors of industry, commerce, banking and finance, services, insurance, and the hospitality industry.

Chambre des Métiers - Luxembourg

The Chambre des Métiers of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (Chamber of Skilled Trades & Crafts) is an elected professional chamber governed by public law and the leading partner of the craft sector.

With mandatory membership, it represents, safeguards and supports craft enterprises and trades throughout their entire life cycle.

For more than a century, the Chambre des Métiers has been committed to promoting craftsmanship and contributing to the vitality of Luxembourg’s economy.

Its core mission is to support the economic and social development of the craft sector, to promote and sustain skills through vocational education and training, and to guide businesses from start‑up through to transfer. As the voice of the sector, it represents the interests of its members vis‑à‑vis public authorities, institutional partners and at European level.

Its activities are structured around the signature:

MAKE: Promote entrepreneurship and support the creation, development and transfer of craft businesses.
SHAPE: Help create a business‑friendly environment that fosters innovation, competitiveness, and the digital and environmental transitions.

Active in the fields of education and training, career guidance, business advisory services and innovation, the Chambre des Métiers adopts an integrated, cross‑disciplinary approach for the benefit of the entire Luxembourg craft sector.

Ministry of Economy - Luxembourg

Le ministère de l’Économie est chargé de la politique économique du pays, en ce sens il opère les choix stratégiques et met en place les instruments nécessaires au dynamisme et au développement durable de l’économie nationale, en ligne avec ses missions.

Les attributions du ministère de l’Économie couvrent une large panoplie de sujets en relation avec le développement économique et l’environnement économique du pays, elles sont définies dans le règlement interne du gouvernement. En ligne avec ces attributions, le ministère de l’Économie est composé de plusieurs directions générales dont la structure est reprise dans son organigramme. Les différentes attributions encadrent les activités du ministère de l’Économie tout comme une panoplie de services et de démarches qui sont détaillés dans la rubrique actualités.

Les PME (petites et moyennes entreprises) jouent aujourd’hui un rôle moteur en ce qui concerne la croissance économique et la création d’emplois.

Le secteur des petites et moyennes entreprises au Luxembourg dénombre quelque 40.000 entreprises artisanales, commerciales et issues du secteur Horeca, ainsi que certaines professions libérales. Il emploie actuellement près de 216.000 personnes, soit un peu plus de 67% de l’emploi intérieur.

Au cours des dix dernières années, les PME au Luxembourg ont créé plus de 50.000 nouveaux emplois. Les PME assurent également une part essentielle de la formation professionnelle et contribuent efficacement à la consolidation de notre tissu économique ainsi qu’à l’expansion du marché national de l’emploi.

La Direction générale PME, simplification administrative, artisanat et commerce du ministère de l’Economie est l’interlocuteur privilégié des petites et moyennes entreprises et intervient dans cinq principaux domaines d’attributions :

le droit d’établissement;
les pratiques commerciales et le développement commercial par exemple à travers le cadastre de commerce et le retail report de l’Observatoire national des PME;
la simplification administrative en faveur des entreprises ;
la digitalisation des PME par exemple à travers la plateforme Letzshop ;
le développement durable des PME ;
la transmission d’entreprises.
